Following on from his G1 on Almond Eye in the Japan Cup Lemaire rode the winner of the February Stakes.

This was run at Fuchu on the dirt and it was Café Pharoah who dominated the proceedings.  He had a comfortable journey in the early and middle stages and as they set sail for home he unleashed a very good turn of foot, which was just as well as Air Spinel who was second challenged witht a very fast finish and came with ¾ length of an upset.  Wonder Lider was third.
