There has been some great racing which unfortunately didn't have the crowds to add to the atmosphere.
It has been an especially good Cheltenham for trainer Henry de Bromhead and jockey Rachael Blackmore both separately and together.
Together they collected the trophy for the Triumph Hurdle with Quixilious who beat home Adagio 10/1 by 3 ¼ lengths with Haut En Couleurs just a head away in third.
As expected the County Handicap Hurdle threw a rough result but not all bad as our faith in Petit Mouchoir was vindicated by a second place. He was sandwiched between Belfast Banter 33/1 and Milkwood. Éclair de Beaufeu was 4th and the others more favoured in the market were way back.
The Albert Bartlett saw a strong finishing Vaniller 14/1 win for Gavin Cromwell and Mark Walsh who seemed surprised by the ease of the win. They finished 11 lengths ahead of Oscar Elite 40/1 and Streets of Doyen. Favourite Stattler was forth and Alaphilippe not a bad run in 6th.
And then the Gold Cup: it was Minella Indo who came through in the finish to take the cup for de Bromhead and Jack Kennedy. Stablemate A Plus Tard was 1 ¼ back in second with Al Boum Photo not able to make it 3 in a row. The 4th horse was 24 lengths behind so enough said about the rest of the field.
