On Sunday at Hanshin Deep Bond bounded away with the Daishoten.

He was untroubled in finishing 5 lengths in front of You Can Smile with Namura Donovan, 42.2, a further 3 ½ lengths back in third.  Favourite Aristoteles lacked his usual finish and may not have got the trip.

At Nakayama the Spring Stakes went to Victipharus, by Heart's Cry, by a head from Asamano Hazura, by Victoire Pisa, on 21.2 with favourite Boden 1 ¾ lengths away in third.

On Saturday Ho O Ixelles won the Flower Cup by 1 ½ lengths from Enthusiasm and Uberleben just missed the second spot by a nose.  Isn't She Lovely was fourth

The Falcon Stakes at Chukyo saw a tight finish which went to Rooks Nest by a head from odds-on favourite Grenadier Guards with Mondereise 2 ½ lengths back in third in the 1400m Gr 3.
