Broome Sweeps Clean

3 minute read

A good couple of days for the sire Australia with winners in France and Ireland

In France his son Mare Australia won the Prix Ganay and at the Curragh on Monday Broome got the trifecta of pattern races by adding the Sottsass-Moorebridge G2 over 2000m.  He's really coming in to his own now and developing into a really nice horse.  Twilight Payment was having his first outing since his Melbourne Cup win in November.  This was distance is probably a bit too short for him and he got outpaced by the first two home and was 6.5 lengths behind Broome.

Spotted on the same program was another Jim Bolger home bred, Lunar Space, a 3yo by Dawn Approach, who won a Listed.  One hears that there is some interest around him from Hong Kong.
