This is the first of the Fillies Triple Crown races and will be run at Hanshin on Sunday.

The weather gods seem to be favouring the fillies here with a bit of a cool night being replaced with a nice sunny day just perfect for racing and cherry blossoms, unlike last Sunday's slog through the mud.

One filly who will look an absolute picture against the cherry blossoms in Sodashi, the lovely WHITE horse who has taken Japan by storm not only for her looks but her talent.  She's won all four of her starts to date including two over this trip of 1600m and at present is on top of the market on 3.0.

Satono Reinas was second to Sodashi in the Hanshin Juvenile Fillies late last year and there was only a nose in it.   She has a very fast finish but not always the best starter and this time she's drawn the car park so it will be up to Lemaire to work her into the race.  4.3.

Meikei Yeli was fourth home in that Hanshin race  and is one of two daughters of Mikki Isle in the field.  On 7.0.

Akaitorino Musume is another Deep Impact daughter out of a mare we were very fond of, Apapane who won this race in 2010 on her way to winning the fillies' Triple Crown that yea, so we will have to give her some support.  She's on 9.8.

And we have a roughie – Shigeru Pink Ruby, a daughter of Maurice out of Moonlight Bay who is the dam of Shigeru Pink Dia, second in this race in 2019.  SP Ruby has won 2 from 3 including the Fillies Revue at Hanshin.
