He'd not gone to the English version but showed his class when taking out the Poule d'Essai des Poulains at Longchamp.

Ioritz Mendizabel was in charge and produced a very cool ride to take his charge into the lead.  He only got the ride on Friday as the intended jockey P-C Boudot is under suspension due to an ongoing police investigation.  Colosseo on 80/1 was a shock second and just behind him in third was our roughie Breizh Eagle who lost his unbeaten tag but the connections were not complaining happy with his great run here.

The Pouliches saw outsider Coeursamba 66/1 outrun favourite and English 1000 Guineas winner Mother Earth with another roughie Kennella 96/1 in third place.  There were some hard luck stories in the run including Reina Madre who got knocked sideways at one stage and was unable to recover enough to have any hope.

Godolphin's Ideal Beauty won the Prix Saint-Georges for Andre Fabre and Mikael Barzalona, the start of a double for the trainer and a treble for the jockey on the day.  Berneuil had started favourite and was second with Sestilio Jet third.  Air de Valse was a brave fifth and Ken Colt, who was leading at one stage, may have been injured as he was eased back to last.

The going was very soft, something to remember when considering these results in future races.
