In the G3 Derby Trial it was the J-P Carvalho trained Sea Of Sands who was too strong for the rest.

Under Lukas Delozier he put in a final burst that saw him finish ahead of the favourite Lord Charming, with Vallando third.

The Diana trial went to Amazing Grace with Noble Heidi second and Theodora.

They are racing in Cologne on Monday where the 36th Mehl-Mulhens-Rennen G2 (German 2000 Guineas) will be run over 1600m with 8 runners.

Andreas Suborics saddles Best of Lips 10/11 with Lukas Delozier up and Best Lightning 7/2 with Adrie de Vries on board.  The Carvalho-trained Mythica could be a threat on 4/1.

The Preis der Annette Hellwig Stiftung Silberne Peitsche (Silver Whip) G3 is over 1300m and has 9 runners.  There doesn't seem to be much between the top three in the market – Schwesterherz on 3.4, Majestic Colt 3.6 and Paloma Ohe on 4.5.
