Hong Kong Season 21-22 starts Sunday.

3 minute read

Hong Kong had a successful but strange season in 20-21 with most races held behind closed doors.

Opening day features the Chief Executive's Cup Class 1 over 1200m and it will be interesting to see which horses carry on their form from last season and which have benefited from their break.

David Hayes released Naboo Attack at the end of the season and the talent was obvious so he comes into this as favourite on 3.5, with Karis Teetan booked for the ride.  Winning Dreams represents the Lor-Ho team that was so successful last season and is on 5.0.  Our old friend Tourbillon Diamond is on 7.9 with Badel riding for Shum, and cannot imagine a Size-Moreira runner going off at 18.0 but that is what Shining Ace is currently.  If you can get that price go for it.

If you need to get out Race 10 is a Class 2 over 1400m and it is a very open race and probably no big surprise whoever the winner is.  Mister Snowdon is on 4.9 for Whyte-Badel, Master Montero around the same for Hayes-Ho, Californiadeepshot is 5.4 for Cruz-Moreira and Roman Turbo 8.1 for Shum-Purton.
