This year the first day is for the 2yos.  Can't say we know too much about most of them so shall just go with the Morning Line's indicative prices.

In Australia these races will start on Saturday morning.  All races are on dirt unless there is "turf" in the race name.

The Juvenile Turf Sprint is Gr2 over 1000m and has 12 runners with the favourite being Wesley Ward's Averly Jane on 5/2.  She's by Midshipman and is considered to be very smart.  Next best are both on around 4/1 – Twilight Gleaming and One Timer.

The Juvenile Fillies is Gr 1 over 1700m with only 6 starters.  The Asmussen trained Echo Zulu is odds-on for this on 4/5 with Julie's Map on 5/2 a danger.

The Juvenile Fillies Turf Gr 1 is over 1600m and has 14 runners.  There are four runners on 6/1 in this most open of races.  They are Koala Princess, Pizza Bianca, Mise en Scène and Malawaath, all of whom are as well credentialed as 2yos can be.

The Breeders' Cup Juveniles is Gr 1 over 1700m and has 12 starters. This is seen as an East-West battle as the Chad Brown trained Jack Christopher 9/5 representing the East coast takes on the Baffert trained Corniche 5/2. Command Performance is on 5/1 and a "roughie" here could be the Japanese runner Jasper Great on 10/1.

The Breeders' Cup Juveniles Turf is Gr 1 over 1600m with a full field of 14.  Dubawi Legend is on 4/1, Portfolio Company is 6/1, we rather like Mackinnon on 8/1 and Aidan O'Brien has entered Glounthaume here after scratching him from France where there was very soft ground, but this may be a bit stiff for him.

Saturday has a marathon card with 11 graded races on the card.
