As usual with these early races there were upsets.

In the 2000 Guineas Trial for the boys Jim Bolger's son of Dawn Approach Pocket Flare got the win from Ace Aussie on 18/1 by Australia of course and Monaasib third on 11/2.  Favourite A Case Of You hung badly and that wrecked his chances.

In the 1000 Gns Keeper Of Time on 80/1, a daughter of Mehmas got the win from Mehnah, a Frankel on 6/1 was second and Sense of Style third on 66/1, by Zoffany.

The Ballysax was no problem for Bolshoi Ballet who won from Flying Visit 33/1 and Taipan 5/1.  Lough Derg was fourth and Wuqood couldn't go on with it.

Skalleti wins the Prix d'Harcourt at Longchamp

This 2000m G2 is often a lead race to bigger and better things in the summer.

Skalleti and Gerald Mosse got a good break in the straight and went through the field like the proverbial knife through butter.  They reached the line a length ahead of Mare Australis with the winner's stablemate Monty in third place ahead of Ecrivain.
