Shades of Alpinista when Rebel's Romance won his second German G1 in the 60th Preis von Europa at Cologne.

Rebel's Romance is by Dubawi out of a Street Cry mare and since being moved to the turf has improved with every race. 

William Buick gave him a patient ride and got the gap on the fence at the right time to win by ¼ length from Derby winner Sanmarco with Amazing Grace third.  Alaskasonne had set a smart pace but had to give up the lead to the swoopers.

Alpinista had won the same G1s - (GP von Berlin and Preis von Europa) and is now amongst the favourites for the Arc.
