Saturday saw the running of two Gr 1 races at the current location.

The first was the Woodward which as suspected was just a romp in the park for Life Is Good.

Then the Champagne Stakes saw Blazing Sevens 17/2 blaze away with a 3 ¼ lengths win over Verifying.  Andiamo a Firenze ran fourth.

At Santa Anita the Awesome Again saw Country Grammer beaten but it was over 2000m which could be a bit short.  The win went to another Baffert runner Defunded who has started at 5/1.
