This is always an interesting race even if it isn't graded.

Over 1800m on the AWT there is a tight bunch at the top of the market with Passarando by Tamarando on 2/1, Chase the Chaos by the Aussie-bred stallion Astern who was with Godolphin next on 3/1 and Gilmore on 4/1.

Meantime the trials continue over the group charged with doping offences in Florida and the North East and standard-bred trainer Nick Surick has been given a whopping 62 months prison sentence.  He has been described as a "doping mentor" and was charged with numerous offences with his offers of assistance to the prosecution largely ignored as they were described as of no consequence or false information.
