Rising star Sincero headlines a wide open Epsom Handicap this weekend at Royal Randwick.

His wins at the top of the weights in a vintage renewal of the Tramway and at WFA in the George Main Stakes set the standard here despite his top weight.

Barrier 1 could prove an issue in a big field but if he gets luck in running and can improve his rating from those two lead-up runs he will take plenty of beating.

Of those on the minimum Red Colossus rates highest on recent form coming off solid efforts at WFA in Melbourne.

Whether that form is flattering due to the messy nature of the WFA racing in Melbourne this spring is a query but if he is able to repeat those figures here with just 52.5kgs on his back he will give a huge sight here.

Historically the Epsom is not a race for mares but they are strongly represented this time around with a handful of genuine hopes.

Pinker Pinker didn't have the easiest passage when runner-up in a red hot Stocks Stakes last time out but looks to get all the favours from an ideal draw today.

She will need to improve on her last start rating to win here, that's usually a given in a handicap, but she looks well capable of it.

Secret Admirer backs up from a flat effort in the Shannon but her two runs prior to that had her on track to be a major chance here.

Being a G1 winner at the track and distance is always a positive in these big Randwick mile races and if she can bounce back from last week and capture her best she will find herself running on well.

Gai Waterhouse fields three runners here and all come off good last start efforts in different lead-ups.

All three will need to go to another level to be winning here but can never completely overlook Gai in these big Randwick G1's.

Foreteller is the knockout. He's racing in terrific form and stormed away at his sole run at this track and distance.

So looking at the markets Red Colossus looks great value around the 20-1 mark each way at the TAB.

And Foreteller, with Waller's record of those miling G1s is also a good bet at $9.

Good luck for the massive weekend from Aspro
