Winning Trainer: Nick Ryan (rep by Toby Lake)
"We've got really good team around us at the moment and it is showing in our results.
"Gee I reckon they'll be flat out beating him in two weeks. He'll eat up the mile. I know he had the run of the race but he powered to the line."
Showed some fight: "He's done that in all of his three runs (in Melbourne). He comes off the bridle fairly early but his last hundred is always the best. He'll eat up the mile.
"After his second run we were mindful of not wanting to run in the Winter Championship with 60 kilos. His rating was going to be high enough to get into the race so we opted to tip him out, give him the one run two weeks before. He's a big gross horse who will improve with racing.
"We might do the same heading into the spring."
Winning Jockey: Fred Kersley
Walked the track prior to the race: "I just wanted to calm the nerves and stretch the legs. In all honesty, it threw a spanner in the works with Mickey Dee (Free To Move) winning on the inside. I thought (as) I hadn't had a ride all day I'd best go out there and double check things."
On the horse: "There was big improvement. It's not often you see a horse have 12 months off, come back and win on debut (resuming) and come up and do it again.
"Nick has done the right thing by this fella. He's had a nice time and come back a lovely looking horse. He did a nice piece of work on Tuesday to suggest that he's back in bigger and better order.
"I just hope he continues to get light weights to make it easier for me to stick (stay) on. All credit to Rhys (McLeod) first-up. He and Nick do a lot of work on the horse so it is just good to see him come here and win again on Australian soil."
