Jockey Daniel Moor has rounded out a big seven days by collecting his second Group 1 victory when Wild Ruler scored at The Valley

Celebrating his 37th birthday last Saturday, Moor broke his Group 1 maiden when successful on Sierra Sue for Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young at Caulfield before scoring a stakes race double on Friday night.

After winning on Forgot You for Busuttin and Young in the Group 2 Stutt Stakes earlier in the night, Moor gave Wild Ruler a great ride to take out the Group 1 Moir Stakes (1000m).

In a slogging finish, Wild Ruler ($10) held-off The Inferno ($6) by a short-head with Trekking ($7.50) 1-½ lengths away third.

"I'm really thankful for the opportunities, especially China Horse Club, Newgate Farm, Henry Field and the Snowdens," Moor said.

"They've given me an outstanding opportunity here and I'm very pleased to make the most of it."

Moor said Wild Ruler was one of the most professional sprinters he has been associated with.

"I rode a smart horse for connections in Super One, but this bloke is just a new level," Moor said.

"Everything I asked him to do he was the ultimate professional and he's got a really good turn of foot.

"He's an electric racehorse and hopefully he can do that at stud now."

Wild Ruler is trained in Sydney by Peter and Paul Snowden who sent the son of Snitzel to Melbourne late last week to prepare for Friday night's contest.

As part of the preparation, the Snowden's Melbourne representative Adrew Angelone took Wild Ruler to The Valley for a gallop.

"He arrived last Thursday and came here on Monday," Angelone said.

"It's very important to come and have a look at The Valley. It's a daunting track - everything is really close. It's a tight turning track so it is always good for them to have a look.

"He's a professional with everything he does, and I knew that would definitely help him.

"I last saw him in the Coolmore Stud Stakes (last spring), and he's just matured so much.

"He's such a lovely type of horse and it's just fantastic."
