Scone Race Club will roll out the red-carpet next Friday with new COVID rules allowing patrons back on course with a host of offerings including free entry.
"Next Friday is our 'Welcome back to Scone Raceday' with no entry fee, drinks specials and the launch of The Thoroughbred Scone Kiosk," said SRC's CEO, Steven Keene.
"We have named all the races after our regular sponsors that have stuck with us throughout the year.
"It is an eight-race card with $240,000 in prizemoney and we're expecting some excellent racing in front of a crowd … for once!"
The Club announced it will be working with 'The Thoroughbred Scone' who has taken the reins of the on-course Kiosk commencing Friday.
"We're thrilled to offer patrons meals of the quality that The Thoroughbred serves and that the Scone community has come to love," Mr Keene said.
"Jack and his team at The Thoroughbred have bought excitement to the club and we cannot wait to have our patrons enjoying the same foods as in the hotel.
"We look forward to delivering delicious meals out of the kiosk and helping make a day at the races a better experience for both patrons and participants."
Meanwhile, next Sunday is a huge afternoon for the town of Coonabarabran that sits on the divide between the Central West and North West Slopes regions of NSW.
It's a Racing NSW Country Showcase meeting that boasts $320,000 in prizemoney featuring the $75,000 Coonabarabran Showcase Cup (1600m).
"How good is it to finally welcome back people and we cannot wait to get back to racing with a crowd," Coonabarabran Jockey Club's publicity officer, Sarah Baglee, told journalist Jeff Hanson.
"It just shows that people want to get back on track and enjoy the races. Our track is looking absolutely schmick.
"It's a really good weekend up here and it brings a lot of money into town. It is really nice for our community and all of the shopkeepers.
"We have events happening on Saturday and on Sunday there is the races, so it gives people a chance to come to 'Coona', check out how lovely our town is and celebrate the weekend.
"On Saturday, there is the markets and then we will have a welcome BBQ at the Bowling Club on Saturday afternoon, then there'll be the yabbie races on the green followed by our Calcutta, which will also be on the green starting at 6pm."
