Winning Trainer: Kerry Parker
On the win: "That was a lot more enjoyable than the last one, that's for sure. I think he's holding his own. I think we've reached the top now, which is pretty good. Nash was able to get him out of the wind there a little bit, which helped and just a different race tempo than sitting outside the lead."
"He showed what he could do last start when he really had to knuckle down and chase. Today, it was a pretty easy watch at the end of the day. He's more a furnished racehorse now. He's improved and he's enjoying it as much as we are."
On his staff: "And a big wrap to my staff. We've been a little bit understaffed and working hard lately. To Nathan and all the guys at home, they've been doing plenty of work so I'm absolutely rapt to see this win."
On the win: "We've just got to keep the sun out. It was lovely to see the track keep improving. There were a couple of sleepless night there during the week with the weather but I was rapt to see it dry out. It doesn't matter what happens from here, it's been a great decision (to stay in Sydney)."
Winning Jockey: Nash Rawiller
On the early tactics: "It didn't go on for 100m, it went on for 1000m. Full credit to my bloke. He's a good horse. It got to the point where I had to say to myself I'm in a lovely rhythm. Allow my horse to do the rest. Exactly what he did today was awesome."
On the trainer: "Kerry has done a wonderful job with him. What has alluded us this time in is a G1. But he will gain a lot of confidence out of this preparation. It sets him up beautifully for the Autumn. Apart from the scare before the race."
On that scare: "Cantering down there beautifully but ended up on the outside fence nearly hanging around his neck. Shows you have got to be on the job all the time."
Beaten Jockeys:
James McDonald (Shared Ambition): "Good run. He just levelled out pretty quick in the straight. He boxed on well."
Glyn Schofield (Yonkers): "Race was probably run a bit stop start for me. Didn't really get into a rhythm. Will benefit back to handicap conditions."
Tommy Berry (Lion's Roar): "Massive run. He had to contest near the front which wasn't our first option. He toughed it out well."
Josh Parr (Sky Lab): "Terrific effort from the back of the field. Took a very good horse to beat him."
Robbie Dolan (Bargain): "Track just dried out too much for her in that grade."
