Coonamble Jockey Club is looking forward to setting new records at the 2004 Coonamble Gold Cup meeting on October 10.

The Coonamble Gold Cup over 1600m offers $30,000 prize money and is certain to attract some of the best country milers in NSW.

As an added incentive for owners and trainers, the Coonamble Jockey Club has decided to work in conjunction with the highly successful Dubbo Cup Carnival to offer an attractive bonus.

Each race on Coonamble Cup Day carries a bonus of $1000 (split $500 to the trainer and $500 to the owners) that will be offered to the first three placegetters from any race on both days of the Dubbo carnival who wins at the Coonamble meeting.

In all there are 48 horses eligible for the bonus that has the potential to see an additional $8000 distributed to owners and trainers on the day.
