The former Queensland filly drew wide in last weekend's Thousand Guineas Prelude (1400m) at Caulfield and was on the pace and facing the breeze throughout, folding up to finish 10th behind new Thousand Guineas favourite Gabiddon.

Owner Ken Turner and trainer Danny O'Brien decided not to pursue the Thousand Guineas path and didn't pay up for her at yesterday's second acceptances.

Instead, she will be kept fresh and target the Group 1 Ascot Vale Stakes (1200m) up the straight at Flemington on Derby day – November 3.

“We've decided to keep her over the sprinting distances,” O'Brien said. “I was disappointed in the (Thousand Guineas) Prelude although she did have a tough run.

“We just feel the Ascot Vale Stakes was a really nice race for her so we'll stick to the shorter races.

“She'll run in the Thoroughbred Club Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield next then the Ascot Vale on Derby day.”

Stathi Katsidis, who was the winning rider in the Thousand Guineas Prelude, has picked up the Chinchilla Rose mount over Steven Arnold.

The grey has been ridden by Katsidis twice for a win in the Group 3 Sweet Embrace Stakes and her seventh in the Golden Slipper.

Her full brother Ferocity was a winner to 1200m while full sister Leone Chiara never won beyond 1100m.
