Kembla Grange trainer Gwenda Markwell will bring Honeysett to the city for the ride on her talented gelding Lodge The Deeds in the AHA Handicap over 1200m.

Markwell decided Honeysett, with her 3kg allowance, was the girl for the job after Lodge The Deeds received the topweight of 59.5kg.

Honeysett has ridden 10 career winners on provincial and country tracks in he last 12 months.

Lodge The Deeds will be having his first start for 10 months after an injury stopped an impressive charge through the classes by the promising staying prospect last winter.

After recording three successive wins in Sydney up to 2000m Lodge The Deeds suffered a hairline hip fracture last July.

His return to racing was further delayed by the onset of the equine flu epidemic but he still has ample opportunity to make up for lost time as the rising six-year-old has raced only 14 times for six wins.

Markwell has given Lodge The Deeds a barrier trial at Goulburn where he finished third over 800m.

Markwell's classy mare Miss Pageantry has left her stable after she was sold for $750,000 to Nathan Tinkler's Patinack Farm.
