Local chief steward Trevor Odgers said the nominations for the rich meeting that will attract a crowd of more than 10,000 are excellent from South Australia and Victoria as well as NSW trainers.
"We've got some regular visiting trainers that are going to return again," Odgers said.
"There are quite a few Victorian trainers and of course we've got our local contingent - Frank Stacey, Michael Weyman and Barry Murray," he said.
Victorian trainers with entries include Broken Hill regular Norm Thompson, Con Kelly, Neil Dyer, John Castleman and Ron Daniel.
SA stables with entries includes Phillip Stokes, Mick Whittle, Lloyd Kennewell, Gary Searle, Paula Trenwith and Kym Healy.
The feature $45,000 Outback Cup (1600m) has attracted 18 nominations.
