A combination of strong support and scratchings has seen the TAB Sportsbet Fixed Odds quote of Paul Perry-trained sprinter Stratana halved since markets opened for this afternoon's meeting at Canterbury.

Punters have not been deterred by the Heavy track and grey skies on offer at today's Canterbury meeting with good support for a host of runners throughout the seven race card.

It is the last race however where bets of $2000 and upwards have been placed on the Paul Perry-trained Stratana who can make it three straight wins in a Benchmark 70 3YO+ Handicap (1250m).

The son of Stratum was a comfortable winner last start at the track and has been backed to put in a repeat performance this afternoon.

Having opened at $3.80, Stratana is now the odds-on $1.90 favourite with TAB Sportsbet Fixed odds thanks to solid support and the loss of seven runners through scratchings.

Nine starts are still expected to contest thee event with Zakumi ($7.00), One More Grand ($8.00) and Volcanic Warrior ($8.00) next best in the market.
