OTI’s Australian-based team is set to be bolstered next month by the arrival of German-bred Group winner Pakal who will be trained at Caulfield by Mick Price.

The Lord Of England entire showed good promise for German trainer Wolfgang Figge recording a Group 3 win and Group 1 minor placing from just eight career starts.

His lone career win to date came in the Group 3 Bavarian Classic (2011m) at Munich last May while the entire was runner up in the 2011 Group 1 Criterium International (1600m) as a two-year-old behind French Fifteen.

Known for importing stayers, OTI’s latest acquisition is yet to race beyond 2011m.

Pakal is expected at this stage to be readied for the spring where he will join an OTI team consisting of fellow imports Manighar, My Quest For Peace, Gatewood, Ibicenco and Prairie Star.

Pakal has saddlecloth number 3, with white and green silks and is settled fourth one off the rail.
