Paul Messara will commence Stud Manager for Arrowfield this upcoming breeding season and wind down his training operation.
With Arrowfield Operations Manager Sam Fairgray moving to Inglis, Paul Messara will take up the role at Stud Manager commencing this upcoming breeding season.
Messara’s training operation will be gradually downsized over the coming weeks.
The young trainer is closing in on 50 winners for the 2013/14 season, two of which came at Group level in Mahisara (Sandown Stakes, 1400m) and Havana (Fred Best Classic, 1350m).
His new role will at least for the time being conclude a training career which has yielded more than 20 stakes successes.
Alverta opened his Group 1 account when claiming the 2010 Coolmore Clasic (1500m) while Ortensia delivered three top level victories for Messara, the 2011 Winterbottom Stakes (1200m), the 2012 Al Quoz Sprint (1207) at Meydan and York’s Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes (1005m), also in 2012.
