Pro-Ride Proves Its Worth At Warwick Farm

While wet weather has wreaked havoc on scheduled trials in New South Wales, 19 heats on the Pro-Ride track at Warwick Farm were conducted on Friday.

Trials heats scheduled for Gosford were abandoned on Friday while those scheduled for Rosehill were pushed back to Tuesday.

Warwick Farm heats on Friday went ahead though with 19 heats conducted on the Pro-Ride surface.

A number of open trials were conducted with Group 1 winners Manawanui and Rising Romance each finishing close behind Candelara in a 1175m heat.

Laser Hawk won an 1175m heat and after resuming in the Missile Stakes will step up to a mile in the Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes on Saturday week.

Didntcostalot and Rain Affair produced their customary strong trial showings in the following 740m heat and not long after dual Group winner Safeguard won a 740m heat over the talented Shamalia.

The next set of Sydney trials will be held at Rosehill on Tuesday pending a track inspection the day prior.

Heats include a 900m Group and Listed trial including the likes of Leebaz, Toydini, Entirely Platinum, Catkins and Arabian Gold.
