A late track inspection has found the Cootamundra track to be unsafe for racing for today's Cootamundra Cup meeting.

The meeting was abandoned after stewards inspected the track at 11.30am and found a section of the track to be unsafe due to a waterlogged section at the 1100m.

The cause was pinpointed as a broken sprinkler.

The meeting is the only TAB fixture held each year by the Cootamundra Turf Club.
