The stable notified Racing NSW Stewards on Wednesday the gelding has been retired following his underwhelming first up display in the C.F Orr Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield last Saturday.

The decision to retire the gelding comes after what by his standards have been three underwhelming campaigns, well down on performances which saw him record four Group wins through 2013 while under the care of the late Guy Walter.

Gelded after his first three-year-old campaign, Toydini went to a new level through 2013.

The son of Bernardini claimed the Phar Lap Stakes and the Carbine Club Stakes during the Sydney autumn carnival and then returned as a four-year-old with a first up success in the Group 3 Cameron Handicap (1500m) at Newcastle.

He then placed in the Epsom Handicap behind Boban before taking out the Group 2 Crystal Mile (1600m) third up at Moonee Valley.

Toydini exits racing with five wins and five minor placings from 27 starts and prizemoney earnings closing in on $700,000.
