Speediness Retired After BRC Sprint

The Colin Scott-trained Speediness has been retired after finishing ninth in the BRC Sprint at Doomben on Saturday.

The Group 3 winner has amassed over $1 million in prizemoney, winning seven of his 39 career starts, placing on a further 11 occasions.

Outside of his win in the 2013 Group 3 Bobbie Lewis (1200m), the Testa Rossa gelding was placed in Group 2 company twice and three times placed in Group 1 company.

The rising eight-year-old also won the 2013 Listed Scone Cup and Listed Pink Ribbon Cup at Caulfield, retiring with a peak Timeform rating of 123.

Speediness was purchased for only $18,000 at the 2019 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale and joins Green Moon and Silent Achiever in retracement who both finished down the track in the Group Doomben Cup.
