A final field of 14 plus two emergencies has been declared for the Longines 2016 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m).

The 2016 Queen Elizabeth Stakes is the feature event on day two of The Championships at Randwick this Saturday April 9.

Trainer Chris Waller announced on Tuesday morning that star mare Winx would not run in the 2016 Queen Elizabeth Stakes but her trainer will be represented by 2016 Australian Cup and 2016 The BMW winner Preferment with stablemate Weary named second emergency.

Hugh Bowman rides Preferment in the 2016 Queen Elizabeth Stakes after piloting him in his last two Group 1 victories.

Defending champion Criterion carries the number one saddlecloth in the 2016 Queen Elizabeth Stakes with Tommy Berry replacing the injured Michael Walker.

Criterion is one of three runners for David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, who are also represented by Dibayani (Nick Hall) and Rising Romance (Damian Lane).

John O’Shea has a pair of runners in Hauraki (James McDonald) and It’s Somewhat (Sam Clipperton) while Team Williams have paid the late entry fee to include 2016 Ranvet Stakes winner The United States (Kerrin McEvoy)in the 2016 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

Mongolian Khan (Opie Bosson) and Our Ivanhowe drop back in distance in the 2016 Queen Elizabeth Stakes after disappointing runs in the 2016 The BMW while 2016 Doncaster Mile runner-up Happy Clapper (Brenton Avdulla) steps up for trainer Pat Webster.

Other acceptors include Happy Trails (Dwayne Dunn), Leebaz, Lucia Valentina (Damien Oliver) and Fenway (Blake Shinn).

Awesome Rock has been named first emergency for the 2016 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

The barrier draw for the 2016 Queen Elizabeth Stakes will take place at 5pm on Tuesday.
