Sixteen fillies and mares have accepted for the 2016 Tattersall’s Tiara (1400m).
Run at Eagle Farm this Saturday June 25, the 2016 Tattersall’s Tiara is the final Group 1 race of the 2015-16 racing season.
Azkadellia (Nick Hall) drew barrier 11, backing up from her unplaced run as beaten favourite in the 2016 Stradbroke Handicap.In-from mare Danish Twist (Hugh Bowman) is shooting for a fifth straight victory and drew the inside stall for trainer Kris Lees, who also has Onemorezeta (Jeff Lloyd) from gate 15 in the 2016 Tattersall’s Tiara.
Cradle Me (Zac Purton) drew 13 and runs in the 2016 Tattersall’s Tiara as a last-start stakes winner of the 2016 Dane Ripper Stakes with Blueberry Hill (Jim Byrne) in gate 8, backing up from her win in the 2016 Gai Waterhouse Stakes last Saturday.Recent Group 1 winner Precious Gem (Blake Shinn) jumps from four and is another coming off the 2016 Stradbroke Handicap while Artistry (Kerrin McEvoy) runs for Peter and Paul Snowden from barrier 12.
Other key acceptors include Miss Cover Girl (Damian Browne) in nine, Jessy Belle (Chris Symons) in seven, Palazzo Pubblico (Michael Cahill) from six, My Poppette (Robert Smerdon) from 16 and Echo Gal (Tegan Harrison) from three.2016 Queensland Guineas winner Tsaritsa was a notable absentee from the 2016 Tattersall's Tiara field, the filly instead running in the 2016 Daybreak Lover on the same card.
