Dream Folk could back up in Grafton Cup

3 minute read

If Dream Folk pleases trainer Greg Hickman, he will back up in the Grafton Cup a day after his win at the track.

Trainer Greg Hickman has not ruled out running Dream Folk in the Grafton Cup a day after his win in a Class Six plate at the Northern Rivers track.

Dream Folk carried 60.5 kilograms to win over 2200 metres on Wednesday and has not received a penalty for Thursday's Listed Cup (2350m) in which he will carry 54kg if he starts.

"I'll have a look at him in the morning and if he's sparkling, he'll go round," Hickman said.

While Hickman was in Grafton to watch Dream Folk, his wife Erica took care of Braces at Warwick Farm where the four-year-old scored his first win since last year's Grafton Guineas.

Ridden by apprentice Winona Costin, Braces narrowly beat Consented to win a benchmark race over 2200 metres.
