Alluvion turned a corner last start and is expected to go on with things at Gosford on Thursday.

The Scott Singleton-trained filly dropped back in grade and distance last start and had the Blinkers applied for the first time when contesting a Class 1 over 1000m at Hawkesbury.

What ensued was a dominant 4.5 length win where she ran good time and in smashing the clock returned a Timeform rating of 99.

A fortnight later the daughter of Onemorenomore heads to Gosford for the Star 104.5 Live at the EG Class 2 Handicap (1000m).

She lines up in a small field of six after scratchings denied the race of a few key chances.

On what Alluvion produced last start, she should prove hard to beat even if running anywhere near her effort a fortnight ago.

Settled outside the lead on that occasion, jockey Brenton Avdulla should again be able to do the same with likely pacesetter Bella Vino drawn on their inside.

Rebel Miss profiles as a main danger dropping back from Group company.

The Krupt filly was no match in the Group 2 Furious Stakes (1200m) at Randwick last month, finishing ninth, beaten nine lengths.

The start prior though Rebel Miss made all for a three length victory over 1050m at Doomben.

A return back to provincial level on both of those runs represents a noticeable class drop.

Bella Vino from a prominent position could take some catching.

The Exceed And Excel filly like Alluvion also heads to this event after saluting over 1000m at Hawkesbury a fortnight ago.

She made all on that occasion and from barrier 2 will endeavour to do so again in this.

Bella Vino rounds out the obvious trio of chances in a race which has lost potential players to scratchings.

While Bella Vino will give them all something to chase, it is Alluvion who looks the one most likely to come away with the final event on the program at Gosford.
