Racing and Sports find the best-backed runners in early betting on Thursday’s meeting at Gosford.

Blazing Steel (Race 1) is now an even money favourite. The Kris Lees-trained gelding opened at $2.50 this morning. The son of Smart Missile resumes after a two start maiden campaign where he showed good promise. Off two trials in readiness, he has been well tried to fire fresh.

Infra Dig (Race 7) is another closing in on even money favouritism. The filly resumes after a late season campaign which commenced with a first up win over this trip at Wyong. She opened at $2.90 and is now a clear $2.10 top elect.

Rebel Miss (Race 8) has firmed a point from her opening $3.80 quote. The filly drops back sharply in grade after being outclassed in the Group 2 Furious Stakes last month. The start prior to that she made all for a dominant win over 1050m at Doomben.
