The Chris Waller-trained filly Egg Tart has now the winner of her past five races in succession (from only seven starts). She settled back in tenth place on the rails, tracking her main rival (Kenedna) before switching across heels and going deeper at the 150m. She then came with a strong late finish to score narrowly but impressively. The favourite Kenedna settled back in eighth place on the rails and she remained there until nearing the home turn. She was blocked on straightening before getting along the inner at the 150m, took a narrow lead at the 50m only to be caught on the post for a very good second. Ana Royale raced in 12th place, between runners, fanned deep at the home turn and then ran on strongly for third in a most promising effort.
