2017 SIR ERNEST LEE-STEERE CLASSIC – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Good competitive renewal of the Listed Sir Ernest Lee-Steere Classic with a number of progressive types set to clash over the 1400m journey. Speed anticipated from Salubrious, Gaulois, War Room and Haya.
TRULY BELONG caught the eye late behind Ocean Jewel last start when working home strongly to finish a close second at this track over 1200m. Has continued to improve with each visit to the races and now appears set to relish the step up in trip. Drawn to get a lovely smother and should prove hard to hold out with the Wizard sticking aboard.
GAULOIS stuck on well in the W.A. Guineas last start and has to be respected from the favourable draw. Has drawn off the track at his last two starts. WAR ROOM steps up sharply in grade, but is progressive, next best.
