Champion jockey Hugh Bowman will resume riding in Australia at Warwick Farm next Saturday.

Bowman has not ridden in Sydney since October 13. He moved to Melbourne for the spring carnival before taking up a short riding contract in Japan.

Bowman recorded his 16th G1 win in 2017 when he won the Japan Cup in Tokyo on Grand Cheval in late November.

He has since enjoyed a Xmas holiday in Europe.

Bowman will follow his Sydney return on January 6 with the ride on unbeaten colt Jonker in the $2 Magic Million Classic at the Gold Coast on January 13.

Bowman will replace provincial jockey Aaron Bullock, who has ridden Jonker in his two brilliant wins at Newcastle and Wyong.
