Smart West Australian-trained mare Dainty Tess impressed in winning at her first start outside of her home state, taking out this Group Three race in good style. She settled in seventh place (wide with cover) from her outside barrier (10) before finishing quickly from the 200m to win by almost a length, going away. Group One winning mare Viddora was slowly away, settled back in eighth place on the rails, improved along the inner rounding the home turn, got a split at the 100m and fought on well for second in a very sound first up performance. Secret Agenda was third on the rails, eased deeper and into clear running on straightening before battling on well for a close up third. Snitty Kitty showed her usual pace and had a difficult trip outside of the speedy leader (It's Been A Battle), got to the front at the 200m and then did well in holding on for fourth, beaten just under a length.
