Egyptian Symbol, having her second run this preparation, did well in winning her third stakes race and her second at Group 3 level in scoring here. She began well and soon went to the front. She then steadied the mid-race tempo, got a break at the 300m and then held on to win nicely. Zestful had a good trip in third place on the rails from her good barrier (3), got through to second at the 300m and kept battling on well, gradually reducing the margin on the winner to a short head at the post to take second, also at her second run back. Nettoyer raced in seventh place (deep), commenced to improve on straightening and kept making ground for third in a sound first-up run. Luvaluva had a nice trip in fourth place, put in a run from the 300m and battled on quite well in the sprint home for (1.2 lengths) fourth, resuming here.
