After seconds at his first three starts, Tim Martin-trained colt Danawi broke though for a very narrow but smart win in the Group three race, stepping up to 1400m here. He again went to the front, was travelling strongly nearing the home turn, got a break at the 300m and then held on to score by the barest of margins. The maiden filly Mizzy has now raced five times for four seconds. Advancing significantly in class here, she settled in third place on the rails, got along the inner to be second on turning for home and then kept battling very gamely, gradually pegging back the leader, getting to within a nose at the post in a very promising run. The Chris Waller-trained colt Dealmaker raced back in ninth place, got along the rails coming to the home turn, went to fourth at the 200m and kept fighting on well for third in a promising first-up run. Godolphin-raced colt Aramayo raced in sixth place to the home turn and kept battling on nicely in the straight for (1.7 lengths) fourth in good effort, rising in class here. Exceltic had a good trip on the rails from his good barrier (2) in seventh place, got into clear running on straightening and kept fighting on for (3.7 lengths) fifth. Outrageous was back in last place to the home turn before making late ground for (4.4 lengths) sixth in a sound second-up effort, looking for longer still.
