A talking point in the Racing and Sports office this Monday was the Fat Odds product offered by NEDS through all races at Randwick last Saturday.
The NEDS Fat Odds product allowed users to have as much as $50 on any runner through the nine race program at an enhanced price.
They will again offer the product through all nine races at Rosehill this Saturday.
Tracking the results through the course of Saturday, Neds Fat Odds proved themselves to be above the gimmicky promotions we’re used to seeing offered over the course of a weekend.
In each of the nine races, the Fat Odds offered about the winner were better than any Top Fluc, Best Tote or Best Of The Best product offered across the Australian wagering landscape.
Below are the results from Randwick last Saturday. There would have been a noticeable difference between standard wagering products and using Neds Fat Odds when looking at your bottom line at day’s end.

As an example, those having $50 bets on favourites through each of the nine races using Fat Odds would have made almost triple the profit punters using Top Fluc and Best Tote products did, $142.50 Fat Odds vs $57 Top Fluc/Best Tote.
Punters who liked the way Segenhoe mapped on Saturday could have gotten $41 about the Clare Cunningham-trained gelding with Fat Odds opposed to the next best price of $26 obtained at Top Fluc. That represents a difference of $750 in extra profit at the end of the program. Backers of Master Ash and Egyptian Symbol would also have enjoyed a three figure boost to their winnings.
