Peter and Paul Snowden will unveil a big list of new season two-year-olds in barrier trials in Sydney and Victoria on Monday.

The 14 Randwick 2YO trials have attracted 92 entries while there are 31 nominated for the first four official Victorian juvenile trials of the season at Cranbourne.

The Snowden stable has 19 youngsters entered for the Randwick trials and two at Cranbourne where there are four heats for two-year-olds among a massive list of 30 trials being conducted over six hours.

The Randwick trials over 850m on the Kensington track serve as important qualifiers for Sydney’s first 2YO races of the season.

The order of entry for the Gimcrack Stakes (1000m) for fillies and Breeders’ Plate (1000m) for the colts at Randwick on September 29 are determined by trial performances with winners and placegetters given priority.

James Cummings has entered eight Godolphin youngsters for the Randwick trials and Chris Waller has seven entries including Krameric, a Rubick colt who won a 2YO trial over 895m at Rosehill on September 3.

Gai Waterhouse, traditionally dominant with big numbers in early 2YO trials, has only five entries in partnership with Adrian Bott.

There are three million dollar yearlings entered with the most expensive being Stark, a $1.45 million colt by I Am Invincible from the G1 winner Commanding Jewel trained by Brad Widdup.

Another I Am Invincible colt Invincible Vision, a half-brother to Golden Slipper winner Mossfun, was sold as an Easter yearling for $1.05 million. He is one of the Waterhouse/Bott entries.

The Snowden entry Rome, a colt by Pierro from Dance Card, also cost $1.05 million as a yearling and is drawn in the same heat as Stark.

I Am Invincible has the biggest number of entries with 10. Snitzel and Exceed and Excel have six entries each.

The most expensive Snitzel entry is Battleground, a $900,000 Magic Millions product trained by the Snowdens.

The trials also feature first runners for the first season sires Rubick, Wandjina, Brazen Beau, Dissident and Deep Field.

The focus at the Cranbourne trials will be on the older horses with Everest contenders Shoals and Santa Lane entered along with other G1 performers Viddora, Hiyaam, Wall Of Fire and Aloisia.
