Twice Group 1-placed Miss Admiration sat equal last (rails) with a circuit to run and was second to last at the 1400m, where she remained to the 600m. Rider Jay Ford hugged the fence into the straight, looked to pull wide then went back to the fence at the 250m, picked up the leaders at the 100m then drew out for a clear win, just her second (maiden stakes) in 16 starts. Shalmaneser was a handy fourth (rails) past the 600m, got a little closer turning in then pulled off the fence to challenge at the 300m, led briefly at the 150m but could not match the winner. Favourite Sin To Win was widest turning in, looked a chance, flattened then got going again late for third from Goathland who led into the straight and was caught at the 150m before weakening to fourth.
