Entries are open for all four Group 1 contests at the 2018 LONGINES Hong Kong International Races, which will take place at Sha Tin Racecourse on Sunday, 9 December.

Free entries to the flagship LONGINES Hong Kong International Races will close on 22 October, 2018. Supplementary entries close on 19 November, 2018.

The LONGINES HKIR carries total prize money of HK$93 million. The showcase contest, the 2000m G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Cup has a lucrative purse of HK$28 million; the G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Mile is worth HK$25 million; the 1200m G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint and the 2400m G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Vase are each worth HK$20 million.

Horse connections can use the convenient Online Entry Form at the Hong Kong Jockey Club website, www.hkjc.com. The system allows multiple entries to be made at the click of a mouse to all of Hong Kong’s G1, G2 and G3 races throughout the season.

All of the jurisdiction’s 31 Group races are open to international entrants.

Hong Kong stages its first Pattern races of the 2018/19 season on Monday 1 October, the HK$3.25 million G3 National Day Cup Handicap (1000m) and the HK$3.25 million G3 Celebration Cup Handicap (1400m).
