Gerald Ryan will be represented by two juvenile colts in Saturday’s ATC Breeders’ Plate (Gr 3, 1000m) at Randwick.

Ryan trained three barrier trial winners at Randwick last week headed by King’s Champ (Deep Field) and Covert Ops (I Am Invincible), who will both take their place in Saturday’s opening two-year-old race of the season in New South Wales.

Both owned by Sun Bloodstock, King’s Champ won his heat by a neck while Covert Ops was impressive in winning his by eight lengths.

"They will both gallop this morning and we'll make a final decision then," Ryan said.

"They have both come through their trials well and the intention is to run."

There were 16 nominations for the Breeders’ Plate and 19 for the Gimcrack Stakes (Gr 3, 1000m) for juvenile fillies.
