2018 ANGST STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Mandylion and Shumookh expected to work forward. I AM SERIOUS has placed in each of her three runs this prep. Drops back from ten furlongs to the mile here. Should be peaking fourth up and record on rain affected ground is excellent. Appears pitchforked into this race under Set Weights plus Penalties.

SHUMOOKH is a tough mare. Won the Golden Pendant last start despite being headed a furlong from home. A mare in form however is untried over both the mile and heavy ground.

DIXIE BLOSSOMS warrants respect as one of the class mares in the race. Rain affected ground could turn this into a testing mile. With that in mind, THE PINNACLE and ALL TOO SOON can both play a role with their ability to perform well beyond 1600m on rain affected ground.
