Walker Runner Looks Invincible At Kranji

3 minute read

Elite Invincible looks hard to beat when he lines up in the Kranji Stakes A over 1400m in Singapore on Friday night.

The Mark Walker-trained runner won his first two starts this campaign, including the Group 1 Charity Bowl (1600m) and his form in two runs since those wins has been solid.

Slightly below his best on the polytrack last start behind Jupiter Gold when fourth over 1200m but up to the 1400m and back on the turf today he will take plenty of beating in this field.

Elite Invincible has been terrific since coming to Singapore and is building a terrific career record and if he runs up to anything near his best today he will be too good for these.

The four-year-old gelding will jump from barrier seven with Vlad Duric back on board and should settle much closer than he found himself last start.

There should be enough speed up front for him to settle off the leaders and then prove too strong over the concluding stages.

Tesoro Privado resumes off some terrific form last campaign, winning his last two outings prior to a spell in what was a very good debut campaign.

Tesoro Privado goes well over the 1400m trip with three of his five wins coming over the distance and from barrier 14 today he will push forward and take up the lead.

This shapes up as a tougher task to what we took on for the most part last campaign but he is building a terrific career record and looks ready to tackle a race like this today.

With just the 13 career starts to his name, the four-year-old gelding is certainly open to further improvement and expect him to be right in the finish.

McGregor is racing in career best form of late and scored his second win in a row last start when taking out a Kranji Stakes B over the mile.

Certainly has a better record over the mile but has won over the 1400m trip previously and his last start win rating certainly brings him into consideration for this.

The Michael Clements-trained runner will push forward from the wide draw to settle on the speed and expect him to be in this a long way.

Distinctive Darci is one of the best horses in the field but does not have the best record on the turf, placing just twice in seven starts opposed to nine wins from 18 starts on the polytrack.

The Group 2 winner rates well against these on his best form but is unlikely to be near his best on the turf.

Good luck!
