Tony McEvoy-trained mare I'm A Princess, improved by one run back from a spell, did well in winning here, her fifth win and first stakes success in 12 starts to date. She was ridden quietly, tracking a fast pace, and was 12th (improving deep) in the 15-horse field approaching the home turn. She put in a strong run (in the centre of the track) at the 400m and finished too well to score a narrow but impressive win. Chris Wallertrained mare Zumbelina raced back in 11th place before switching deeper on turning for home. She put in her bid shortly afterwards, hit the front at the 100m and battled gamely for (long head) second, staging a smart effort. Aeecee Tong De raced in seventh place (between runners), was held up for clear running at the 300m and then finished nicely when finally clear to take third. The favourite Our Crown Mistress settled in second place behind the free-going leader (Angelic Spirit), briefly hit the front at the 200m but then faded for (6.6 lengths) ninth after racing too close to a hot tempo.
