Trainers Leon and Troy Corstens have booked Runson on Sunday’s charter flight to Perth after being pleased with his progress since his third in the G2 Linlithgow Stakes (1200m) at Flemington.

Troy Corstens said Runson will have a jumpout at Flemington on Friday prior to Sunday’s flight.

"He is in career-best form, no doubt about it,” Corstens said.

“He has gone to a different level this time around, with maturity he has really come into his own.

“He's come through really well and I really feel a bit of time between runs will suit him.

“This will be his biggest test and I am excited to see if he'll be competitive at Group One level."

Wangaratta trainer Dan McCarthy has also confirmed a Perth trip for his last start Moonee Valley winner Ashlor for the Winterbottom Stakes with Daniel Stackhouse booked for the ride.

Top class mare In Her Time will not be going to Perth despite her excellent second in the G1 VRC Sprint Classic at Flemington last Saturday won by Santa Ana Lane.

Trainer Kris Lees has confirmed that In Her Time will be spelled despite her light spring campaign.

The six-year-old mare had only three starts, finishing third in the Premiere Stakes and seventh in The Everest at Randwick before her Flemington second.

Leading rider Chris Parnham will miss the Railway Stakes meeting after deciding not to appeal against a 10-day suspension for careless riding in last Sunday’s York Cup.

He will ride at Ascot on Saturday before starting his suspension.

Parnham’s mounts on Saturday include Arcadia Queen in the G3 WA Champion Fillies Stakes (1600m) and Dainty Tess in the Colonel Reeves Stakes (1100m).

Dainty Tess and Parnham are chasing a treble of feature wins after the mare’s victories in the Listed Crawford Stakes (1000m) and G 3 Prince Of Wales Stakes (1000m) at her past two starts.

Classy G1 winner Scales Of Justice is set to run in the Colonel Reeves Stakes then back up the following week in the Railway Stakes over 1600m.

The Lindsey Smith-trained six-year-old had returned from injury with a fifth in the G2 Lee Steere Stakes (1400m) last Saturday.
