Pike Selects Arcadia Queen

3 minute read

Champion Perth jockey William Pike has elected to ride the filly Arcadia Queen in the $1 million Kingston Town Classic at Ascot on Saturday week.

Pike had the choice of riding Arcadia Queen or her Bob Peters-owned stablemate Galaxy Star.

Pike rode both horses at Ascot last Saturday when the three-year-old Arcadia Queen won the G2 WA Guineas and the year older Galaxy Star beat the all ages in the G1 Railway Stakes.

Chris Parnham has been on standby to ride the horse Pike rejected.

Arcadia Queen has firmed to favouritism for the Kingston Town with Galaxy Star second favourite.
